Effective tests have become one of the key factors in the success of software development projects - up to 50% of the development costs are spent in software tests. At the same time, delays are getting shorter and pressure over the testers is increasing continuously.
For these reasons, it is important to use available resources in an optimal way to maximise quality while minimising the risks - in particular in cases where tests need to be interrupted.
Because it is an important phase of the software development process, testing is an essential task that requires qualified experts. Mastering the known and established software test methodologies, as well as the use of standardised definitions and notations are major issues for the success of the project.
Content
The Certified Tester training program follows the standard and established qualification scheme used in most European countries.
The course is driven by the official program Certified Testers Foundation Level, and contains primarily the following points:
- Software testing basis
- Testing in the software lifecycle
- Static tests
- Dynamic tests
- Test management
- Test tools
This basis training deals with tasks, methods and techniques for software testing. The attendee will learn the different steps of the software test process, from test plans to test execution, and the associated test documentation.
The training ends with a one-hour exam that allows obtaining the "SAQ Certified Software Tester Foundation Level" certificate. The certification organisation is the Swiss Association for Quality (SAQ).
