Since September 2009 the ISTQB® Certified Tester (Advanced Level) training program follows the new syllabus version 2007. The course contents have been subject to fundamental changes, such as an extended training and certification duration, revised contents as well as a considerable increase in complexity.

SynSpace responses to the increased requests by its modular training structure.
To achieve the ISTQB® Advanced Level certificate the possession of the ISTQB® Foundation Level certificate as well a confirmation of at least 18 month of practical experience are re-quired.

The ISTQB® Certified Tester (Advanced Level) training consists of 3 modules:

  • Test Manager
  • Test Analyst
  • Technical Test Analyst


Module - Test Manager
The Test Manager module is one of the three internationally approved Tester Certifications. The training is focused on the specific activies and challanges in the daily routine of a test manager.

Our goal is, to offer the participant a highly qualified formation in test man-agement that can be easily integrated in workday life and therefore be of great value. The participant profits of real world exercises and hands on best practices.

The training ends with an exam that allows obtaining the "SAQ/ISTQB® Certified Software Tester (Advanced Level) - Test Manager" certificate.

The certification organisation is the Swiss Association for Quality (SAQ).

The training lasts five days, including examination. This training could be broken down as follows: One week (successive 5 days), or two weeks (2 or 3 days per week)

Module - Test Analyst
ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Analyst training is focused on functional testing on the higher test levels, such as system and acceptance test.

After the training, the participants will be able to
        - Analyse the requirements for a system and understand the quality requirements
        - Understand and apply test design techniques
        - Design and specify functional tests
        - Perform and document the tests

The training ends with a three-hour exam that allows one to obtain the "SAQ/ISTQB® Certified Software Tester Advanced Level – Test Analyst" certificate.

The training lasts five days, including examination.
This training could be broken down as follows: One week (successive 5 days), or two weeks (2 or 3 days per week)

Language
The training material, training language and the examination will be in English.

Who might be concerned?
The Advanced Level qualification is aimed at people who have achieved an advanced point in their careers in software testing. This includes people in roles such as testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and software developers. This Advanced Level qualification is also appropriate for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of software testing, such as project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts, IT directors and management consultants.
