The research and development department of the University of Applied Sciences, FH Campus Wien serves as a knowledge platform and a service provider for the economy and establishes practice and future oriented knowledge on an academic level for its needs. This contains process engineering (Safety, SPiCE, CMMI), project management, test automation, test management, informatics, electronics, telecommunication, network engineering, picture and signal processing and applied mathematics.
With SynSpace the R&D Safety Competence Center covers the necessity of qualification for reliability of all domains in connection with organisational development to high process maturity.

SynSpace is partner of the SEI and therefore enabled to conduct trainings and services according to the SEI guidelines.

Our customers often have two challenges: (1) to organise the software development, acquisition and outsourcing in order to achieve the best possible results and (2) to make the quality of the achieved results (i.e. the software) visible so that a process of constant improvement can be set in action. The experts of SynSpace advise and train solutions for the first challenge. SIG provides instruments and consulting services to the customers in order to master the second challenge.
SPIQ
The regional working team Software Process Improvement and Quality e.V.
wants to: convey contacts and exchange of experience on the level of
software developer, quality assurance and management; deepen relations
and cooperation with institutions and research facilities and give
impulses through specific offers as well as to support the
implementation processes. On the basis of a common understanding of
quality and software development processes SPIQ works towards easier
and amplified possibilities for the cooperation of companies and wants
to reach a stabilization of the software industry as a future oriented
economical focus in the region Südbaden.
SWEN
The competence network SWEN (Software Engineering Network) forms a
central interface between Universities (of Applied Sciences) and
economy in the field of software engineering. It makes a contribution
to the stabilization of the software industry and the practice oriented
training at Swiss Universities (of Applied Sciences). SynSpace is one
of the initiators and founder member of this association.
TIOBE
TIOBE Software supports companies with the implementation and application of TIOBE Coding Standards (TICS), methodology and framework. The methodology contains of seven separate steps resulting in a customer specific component framework and a code archive which verifies, displays and automatically improves. The applied methodology and the framework are language independent whereas TIOBE’s main focus is on Java, C, C++ and C#. The Framework is used by multinational companies such as Philips Electronics NV, Océ Technologies BV and Assembléon NV.
TÜV Secure IT GmbH
With TÜV Secure IT GmbH the TÜV Rheinland/Berlin-Brandenburg concentrates its organisational and technical expertise to establish new quality standards for a holistic assurance of their business processes.
