Process improvement in software and system development

Software products are becoming more and more complex and customers, who use those products, are becoming more and more demanding.

It’s about time, that we see the development process as a production process and design it like one.

Main topics are to be able to plan and foresee the results, to measure and control the quality, as well as costs and time to market. In this way we create the basis to optimize production and guarantee a steady product quality. This also includes optimizing the interfaces to the suppliers.

For the evaluation and improvement of the processes, we act according to the international standards SPICE and CMMI. Thus, the customer has the guarantee of comparable results and can benefit from best practices of other projects.

After the assessment, we will suggest a process framework for the following implementation and improvement programs, according to your business goals and and your specific constraints.

We start with a workshop for the management to identify the strategic direction of the company. Here we analyze, which business areas contribute to competitive advantages in what business areas. This is followed by workshops to define processes and activities which help to translate competitive advantages into monetary value. Finally workshops for the implementation will be planned, need for training and resources will be determined and tools will be evaluated. All of this will be done in close collaboration with the process owners and the individuals affected by the process. We support you in the implementation phase by providing templates as well as regular checkups of the introduction status.
