SynSpace offers a variety of tools, which effectively support the assessment of processes, analysis of code, as well as project management using GDPM.
The SPICE 1-2-1 product family
The SPICE product family contains tools that support assessors in planning, preparation, execution and reporting of assessments, as well as generating assessment presentations automatically. The product family consists of 3 products, which are described in the following.
SPICE 1-2-1 for international standard
SPICE 1-2-1 for international standard is distinguished by it excellent user-friendly information input, mapping and management. It’s based on the standard ISO 15504 and its extensive possibilities for individual customizations make it the perfect assistant for a successful assessment.
SPICE 1-2-1 for Automotive
SPICE 1-2-1 for Automotive contains the assessment module Automotive SPICE®. It’s especially suitable for companies of the automobile industry and its suppliers that want to rely on Best Practice.
SPICE for SPACE
SPICE for Space is an extended version of SPICE 1-2-1, which was developed by SynSpace specifically for the European Space Agency, in which the SPICE for SPACE (S45) is being used. This version contains the full S4S process model with overlay windows that display links to the ECSS standards. All three assessment methods (process improvement, capability test and ECSS-compliance) are fully supported.
SynEdit
With SynEdit SPICE 1-2-1 can be customized to individual needs. SynEdit is especially suitable for quality representatives or consultants who evaluate and analyze processes – and not only development processes – in large enterprises or specific industries on a regular basis. With this instrument, they can create their own tool.
SynEval
SynEval is the tool that an assessor uses to compare and analyze the results of multiple assessments.
SYNtacTICS
SYNtacTICS is a tool for static code analysis, with which you can check your code for compliance to coding rules and incorrect use of a programming language. – Two of the main sources of errors, which are hard to identify afterwards. Through an underlying database, the quality of your code can be traced throughout time. The whole tool-set becomes a key component in your development process.
GoalDirector
This project management tool supports the Goal Directed Project Management method consistently. It is clearly structured and gives the person responsible for the project the ability to control the project through project milestones, while the project team organizes and controls itself on the level of activities. Responsibilities on both levels are displayed transparently. GoalDirector can be installed as a stand-alone application or as a companywide Client/Server solution. SynSpace recommends using this tool, when GDPM is being used and supports you in purchase, installation, training and use in the context of the GDPM method.
