Automotive SPICE® - for Managers

The course offers a presentation of the Automotive SPICE® model from the viewpoint of a manager. In particular the differences between ISO/IEC 15504 and its process reference model and the domain-related supplements of Automotive SPICE® will be shown.

In addition to that the differences between Automotive SPICE® and other models for the design and improvement of processes, e.g. CMMI®, will be presented.

Participants are shown how the model can be used in their company as well as how it functions in the process of cooperation between a client and a supplier. Based on the training content the potentials of use for the own environment can be rated.


  • The Automotive SPICE® process reference model (PRM) and the Automotive SPICE® process assessment model (PAM) and the main differences to ISO/IEC 15504
  • The "HIS Scope" (the Automotive SPICE® requirements which German OEMs check as a minimum when assessing suppliers)
  • Proceeding and preparation of an assessment by the customer
  • The benefits of Automotive SPICE® for control devices and software supplier

The training consists of lectures, exercises and discussions and offers plenty of chances for questions and exchange of experiences.


Participants will be provided with a set of training material including a folder with hard copies of slides. The course material is always provided in English language independently from the speaking language.

Target Audience

Managers at an OEM or Automotive supplier, e.g. project leaders, coordinators, or responsibles for quality in development, supplier management or purchasing.
